Tips on Responding to Poetry:
Read (or listen to the audio link below) and allow the words to simply sit with you and sink in.
Maybe choose your favourite line or a few words that resonate.
Set a timer for 5 minutes, pick up a notebook and write anything that comes to mind.
To face the ocean
To face the ocean is to leave the world behind,
To cast off your worries into the wind,
To inhale salty air from lands afar,
To watch hopes and dreams dance like diamonds,
To know that there are dark secrets hidden below.
To face the ocean is to contemplate your return to the world:
- Dive deep into the unknown,
- Drift away to someplace new,
- Dip a cautious toe in the water,
- Or simple pause, rest and return.
To face the ocean is to face yourself.
