Teaching is Tough - but it’s Worth It!

*And remember, you don’t need the job title of teacher to be one: parents, home schoolers, youth workers - your children are learning from you everyday. You’re a teacher too!

Stronger Together

Join a community of like-minded nurturers and help us make a better a future for our children.

  • Are you so busy looking after everyone else, you neglect your own self care?

  • Do you struggle to maintain a healthy work-life balance?

  • Perhaps you are passionate about teaching but some days it just all feels too much?

If the answer is yes … you need my weekly wellbeing newsletter.

Nurture me Now!

You’ll receive a poem, plus advice, tips and explanations to support you. This is accompanied by prompts and questions to encourage your own reflection - suitable for journaling or simply some quiet thinking time. Presented in both written and recorded form - listen or read depending on your mood.

Why not do something for you and give it a try? You’re free to leave anytime if the support isn’t what you need.

Who am I?

Teacher by Profession, Writer by Passion

I am a UK teacher and school leader with over 20 years experience educating children from 5 up to 11. With a BSc in Psychology, a Masters in Primary Education and qualifications in Instructional and BASIC Coaching, I am passionate about applying neuroscience and the latest research to support both children’s learning and their general development as people. My aim is to encourage, support and inspire those of us who are fighting against an education system that doesn’t put young people’s needs first.

In my spare time I love to write creatively. I publish short stories and poetry as well as well as journaling privately just to process the thoughts swirling in my head. This Substack is my place for combining my two passions - where I can write about the things that really matter in education and share all the amazing practice that is out there. You will also find lots of poetry, reading and writing ideas for both children and adults alike.

Whether you are a teacher, home-educator or passionate parent, I hope you will find something here to help you help your children.
